Family Medicine

My interest in medicine began in high school after attending a “day with the docs” event as an outreach to rural students. I began to notice the disparities in my community first-hand through the lens of my father’s health, which fueled my passion to pursue family medicine to play a role in preventing chronic disease and help those with chronic disease navigate our health system. I am an advocate to the LGBTQIA+ community and practice adult gender-affirming care, honing those skills. I am also interested in diabetes and obesity medicine, especially with the continued development of new medications to treat these chronic diseases.
