I chose a career in internal medicine because of a strong desire to help people in a time of need and provide some solace or peace of mind to people when I can. I was also drawn to the challenge of integrating science with personal experience. I have a special interest in primary prevention and management of cardiovascular risk factors, and I try to emphasize lifestyle and prevention as a cornerstone of care.
